If you’ve ever thought about creating your own online course, there’s a strong chance you’ve heard about the platform Teachable. This site allows you to build and sell digital products, sharing your insight with users while making money in the process. However, while Teachable’s goal is to make building your course as painless as possible, it’s understandable that some would-be creators still might feel intimidated or not know where to start.
That’s why this summer Teachable is launching their first-ever Creator Challenge, offering participants extra guidance, inspiration, and even prizes over a 90 day period. So what is they Teachable Creator Challenge? Let’s take a closer look at what you need to know and how you can join.
The first thing to know about Teachable’s creator challenge is that the promotion will provide you the various tools, education, mentorship, and community you’ll need to create and sell a course of your own.
During the Creator Challenge, participants will not only have access to the TeachableU program that will help them build and market their course but will also be a part of a community that Teachable is assembling. This includes a special Creator Challenge Facebook Community where participants can solicit feedback on their ideas, gain accountability, and more. On top that, Teachable has invited special guests mentors to offer actionable advice to creators during the challenge. So whether you already have a course plan you’ve been meaning to build or want feedback for developing an idea, this Challenge could be for you.
Next, a fun element of this challenge is that participants will be able to earn prizes as they reach certain milestones.
To encourage along your journey, Teachable is offering prizes as you unlock achievements such as publishing your course, enrolling your first students, making your first sales an more. According to Teachable, these prizes will include things like fun apparel and accessories as well as helpful software and tools. Additionally, there will be a competition to see who can acquire the most students and sales during the challenge period, with 10 grand prize winners being selected. But even if you don’t’ reach those heights, it’s nice to know that you’ll still be able to earn rewards regardless of what level you’re at.
Something important to note is that in order to participate in Teachable’s creator challenge you’ll need to sign up for a paid teachable account before June 1st.
The Creator Challenge officially runs from June 1st to August 31st. Therefore in order to participate, you’ll need to sign up for a paid Teachable account before this start date. Options start at $39 a month for the basic plan — which becomes $29 a month if you choose to pay annually. Just be sure select this of one of the platform’s other plans before June 1st to gain your 2019 creator challenge entry.
