HTML is the language used to create web pages. It stands for HyperText Markup Language. HTML is a markup language, which is a type of computer language. HTML uses tags to identify different parts of a web page. Tags are words surrounded by angle brackets, like this: .

The tag is the most important tag in an HTML document. It tells the web browser that the document is an HTML document. The tag must be the first tag in an HTML document.

The tag is also important. It contains information about the document, like the title. The tag must come before the tag.

The tag contains the content of the web page. The tag must come after the tag.

HTML tags are not case sensitive. The tag is the same as the tag.

There are many different HTML tags. Here are some of the most important ones:
