I am an experienced internet marketer, and over time have learned the difference between internet marketing and effective internet marketing. I certainly have had my share of struggles, I’ve been knocked down quite a few times. But I have learned the value of getting up.
Unfortunately many people that try to make a living online fail. I hate to be so blunt, but it’s the truth. I think that a big stumbling block that people have is that they expect the money to just start rolling in after they make just a bit of effort. It does not work like that!
Internet marketing: Setting up an advertising campaign, and expecting it to be profitable.
Effective internet marketing: Properly researching a campaign, having an expectation of how much of something you will be able to sell, starting the campaign, tracking the campaign extensively and adjusting until you are in profit.
Do you see the difference? What I’m suggesting doesn’t need to be super complicated, but it does require effort. It isn’t going to be easy. But it can be done!
Internet marketing: Building a website and expecting traffic to spike overnight.
Effective internet marketing: Building a website, and employing an extensive traffic building strategy involving multiple methods including article marketing, social bookmarking, gaining links from relevant sites, press releases, etc.
Do you want to succeed or do you want to fail? The really cool thing is that once you figure out what needs to be done, it is simply a matter of doing it. Seriously, most people just don’t do what needs to be done, and that’s why they don’t succeed.
