If you want to make serious money online, then you need to get familiar with Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk). MTurk is a website owned by Amazon that allows businesses and developers to access a marketplace of “Human Intelligence Tasks” (HITs). In other words, companies post tasks that need to be completed by real people, and then workers like you and me can claim these tasks and get paid for them.
HITs can be anything from transcribing audio files to identifying objects in photos or even writing short articles. The pay for each task varies depending on the complexity of the task, but most of them payout between $0.01 and $0.20 per task. That doesn’t sound like much, but when you consider that you can complete hundreds of tasks in an hour, it starts to add up!
To get started with MTurk, all you need is an Amazon account. Once you’ve signed up and logged in, you can start completing HITs immediately. The best part? There are no approval processes or qualifications required. If a task is available, then you can do it!
How Much Money Can You Make?
How much money you can make on MTurk depends on how fast you work and how many hours you’re willing to put in. If you’re really determined, then it’s not uncommon to earn over $1,000 per month on MTurk—even as a complete beginner!
Of course, earning that much money is going to take some time and effort. If you want to make serious cash on MTurk, then I recommend setting aside at least 2-3 hours per day to work on tasks. With consistency, anyone can earn a full-time income from home with MTurk!
Assuming that you work 2 hours per day at an average rate of $0.10 per task (which is pretty easy to achieve), here’s how your earnings would stack up over the course of a month:
Day 1: 2 hours x $0.10/task = $0.20
Day 2: 2 hours x $0.10/task = $0.40
Day 3: 2 hours x $0.10/task = $0.60
