Check the various courses out because you will get good ideas from these courses. Once you have become successful at Internet Marketing, you can give a course yourself.
The next piece of bad advice floating around out there is that internet marketing does not require any work. Somehow, you are just supposed to magically be able to throw up a website with a product on it and instantly make millions of dollars in sales without lifting a finger. Well, it just does not happen that way. Internet marketing requires hard work and discipline if you want to achieve success. Many beginning marketers spend 12 hours or more a day in front of their computers getting their businesses started. While you may eventually get things to a point where you will not have to slave away in front of the computer and everything will be on auto-pilot, it takes time and effort to get to that point. If you do not believe it, you will not make much money (and maybe not any at all).
The third bad piece of advice you will hear is that it does not cost any money to start an online business. This is only partly true. It does cost some money to start out right, but you do not have to spend a fortune, at least not right away. You will need, at a minimum, your own domain name and web hosting. This will cost you about $10 for the domain name and another $10 a month for hosting. You can then use free methods of advertising until you are making enough that you can afford some of the more lucrative paid advertising opportunities out there.
These pieces of bad advice are propagated across the spectrum of internet marketing and appear in numerous internet marketing courses. Once you have become a success at what you do, you can start your own internet marketing course (and charge a decent price for admission) to tell people the truth about starting an online business. That way, there will be a lot more success stories in the world and you can be a part of that.
